Development Squad Program
Swim Squads at Holsworthy Aquatic Centre
Once students have mastered the fundamentals of correct swimming technique, they are ready to progress into our Squad Program.
Our Squad levels are designed to further develop competitive swimming skills, with a focus on improving endurance, stamina, and overall swim fitness.
We currently offer three squad levels:FrogsStingrays Sharks
Each level focuses on refining technique and conditioning through targeted drills and training methods, helping swimmers reach their full potential—whether they're training for competition or simply want to swim for fitness after graduating from our Learn to Swim program.
Please note: All new squad swimmers must complete an assessment before joining to ensure correct placement and progression.

Our Competitive Squad Levels
Frogs Squad
Our entry-level squad is perfect for swimmers new to squad training or those who want to swim for fitness.
Commitment: Minimum of 2 sessions per weekFocus: Stroke development, technique refinement, and foundational training skills
This level helps build a strong swimming foundation while promoting fitness and enjoyment in the water.

Stingrays Squad
The second level in our Squad program, designed for swimmers ready to challenge themselves further by refining technique and building endurance. Progression through levels is guided by our coaches’ assessment.
Commitment: Minimum of 3 sessions per weekFocus: Race skills development, stroke refinement, and improving personal bests (PBs)

Sharks Squad
Our highest level in the Squad program, designed for experienced swimmers who are dedicated to training and competition.
Commitment: Minimum of 4 sessions per weekFocus: Individual Medley (IM), aerobic conditioning, advanced skill development, and race techniques
